The Bombers Change Name for the SCAFL
Saturday 5th of April, 2008
The Orange County Bombers that have competed for the last two years in the Southern California Australian Football League (SCAFL) have changed their name to the Orange County Jets. The SCAFL is a developmental league that seeks to recruit new players to the sport of Australian Rules Football, with the goal of developing them to compete at the National and hopefully International level. The SCAFL games are reduced size games utilizing a minimum of nine (9) players per side as opposed to the 18 used in a standard Aussie Rules game, and a significantly reduced size field.

The OC Bombers will continue to be the team name for the side representing SCAFL in 18-a-side games and tournaments throughout the US. Please check back frequently to get updates on the Bombers or use the links on the front page to check out the OC Jets and the other teams in the SCAFL.
