4 Bombers represent the USA in the International Cup
Tuesday 2nd of August, 2005
4 Bombers received US Footys highest honor by being selected to represent the US in the International Cup in Melbourne, Australia.

Donnie Lucero, David Thurmond, Marty Curry and Jeff Purcell were all picked to represent their country, and they all did the US and particularly the Bombers proud. The Revolution finished 3rd in the tournament, beating reigning champs Ireland twice, while just going down to runners-up Papua New Guinea by a point.

New Zealand where the winners of the cup, and although they beat the Revo's by some 5 goals, it fair to say that it was probably the Kiwi's toughest game of the tournament. In addition, Bombers Captain Donnie Lucero was selected on the International All Star team, which is about as good as it gets for a US footy player.

Congratulations to our squad members, from all reports these guys were instrumental in the teams success.
