The Bombers Bus was fired up for the trip to play San Diego in La Jolla on Saturday, and the players were too as they went about solidyfing their Division 1 credentials with a resounding win over the Lions by 79 points.
The Bombers took control early, slamming on 4.1 in the first quarter, shortened to 15 minutes due to the abnormal heat. A breeze favoring the eastern end made going difficult in the 2nd quarter, and the Bombers struggled in front of goal recording 1.7 for the quarter. After half time however they were far more accurate and hit the scoreboard reasonably well.
The defense were super tight and restricted the Lions to 2 points for the game. The mids and forwards worked well and there were winners all over the ground for the Bombers in a very dominant performance.
OC next play the LA Dragons on September 30 at home, the last hit out before Nationals.
