After 12 games including finals, the Jets finished the 2012 SCAFL season with a 10-2 record and a wealth of experience.
The only two losses for the year came at the hands of the Sharks, who were just too good in the grand final and had all the answers.
Unfortunately the Jets put in their only poor performance of the 2012 SCAFL season in the one game that really mattered, but it's a mostly young group who will learn from it and only get better as they get used to playing in big games.
Special mention to Scott Leal who was awarded SCAFL Best & Fairest for the season, well deserved. Also congratulations to Mike Rivera and Seb Aguiari who took out the Best New Player and Best Sportsman awards respectively.
The Bombers now look forward to the real stuff, starting in Las Vegas on June 23.
