The Riverside Saints made the trek out to San Pedro on Sunday to face the Jets, and were gracious in allowing three OC players to join their team so that the game could be played in the preferred 12-a-side format. Although the Saints were struggling for numbers and experience they did the right thing by the league and the game by agreeing to provide a contest for as many players as possible. This is what the SCAFL is all about, and the Orange County Football Club is very appreciative that Riverside were behind the concept despite knowing they were in for a tough day. A lot of rookies and 2-3 year players got valuable game time on both sides, and that can only be a good thing in the long run.
