The Orange County Bombers return to match action on Saturday, August 8, 2009 against the perennial national powerhouse Denver Bulldogs. The match will be held at the Cal Poly Pomona campus in Pomona (3801 W Temple Ave., Pomona, CA 91768), at 1 pm , where the temperature is expected to be in the mid 80's under clear skies and a forecast 14 mph wind.
The game features two undeafeated teams in 18-a-side action this year with the Doggies sporting a 2-0 mark with vicorties over Dallas and Kansas City in a tournament hosted by Kansas City in July. The Bombers come into the game with a 3-0 mark with road wins against Las Vegas and Golden Gate, and a home victory against San Diego two weeks ago.
Both teams are expected to be short key players, but we all know with football in the States "you dance who you came with", and the match will be good test for both clubs despite absent tee players for both sides.
